Welcome

Hey guys, welcome to my blog.

This blog is a project for Study Unit MCS1030, University of Malta. Now I would like to introduce myself: My name is Katharina Lenger, but everybody calls me Kathi or Katy, and I'm a 23-year-old journalism student from Germany. Here in Malta I'm studying communications for six months. It is important for me to make new experience, meet new people and to expand my horizon. For over eight years I am writing for the local newspaper of my hometown in Germany - journalism is a hard work, but it is still fun and I love my side job. Furthermore I like to talking to people and listening their stories - it is always exciting and interesting. Sometimes I write about topics like travel, recipes or interesting people in our city. And sometimes I get the chance to interview some famous singers or actors. I like this variety. 

In my free time I like to travel around the world to visit different countries and cultures. Always with me: my reflex camera. It is a passion of me to shoot photos, because for me it's important to hold on special moments. I also like good food, comfortable evenings with my friends and family. But that's enough of my person.

As I said above, this blog is a project for Study Unit MCS1030, University of Malta. It should be about news stories, travel, lifestyle and events and I will analyze different articles about that. I think this is a good mix and I hope you and other readers never get bored. My first article, which I would like to analyse, is about Valletta - the Capital of Culture 2018. It is an exciting topic, because Valletta has a very special charm - in 2018 many projects and events are planned.
